Industries

Some of the industries we have had the pleasure of working with.

Banking

Banks have to upgrade themselves, or risk being burnt into the ground

The term “Banking Technology” refers to the use of sophisticated information and communication technologies together with computer science to enable banks to offer better services to its customers in a secure, reliable and affordable manner and sustain competitive advantage over other banks.

The KTO Banking Advisory Department can meet over and above these imperative needs:

Insurance

Trends in tech shaping the future of insurance

The ancient few years have seen the emergence of essential technology trends that are distressing virtually every single industry. A multitude of technology developments and shifts are reshaping products and services.

KTO Digital inspected a range of factors to identify the ten technology trends that matter most to top executives across industries. For every trend, we calculated a momentum score based on the evolution rate of the technologies underlying the trends, which we derived from an in-depth analysis of six proxy metrics: patent filings, publications, news mentions, online search trends, total private investment, and the number of companies making investments.

Transport

A developed country isn’t a place where the poor have cars but its where the rich use public transport

The rich will only use public transport if makes technological sense. New technologies are transforming the way we plan, design, build, and operate transportation systems. Transport agencies use them to count traffic, detect crashes, collect tolls and fares, and manage transit operations and traffic signal systems.

KTO Digital agrees that while a single piece of technology often overlaps into different areas, there are generally six different categories of technology: communication, electrical, energy, manufacturing, medical, and transportation. Technology allows you to stay connected with the world while you are traveling. If you cannot take time off work then you can work from a remote location. Apart from that, you can keep in touch with loved ones. It makes traveling to foreign land safer as people will know where you are.

Telecommunications

Leadership in telecommunications is also essential, since we are now in the age of e-commerce and technology.

Connectivity technologies are constantly evolving and include both wired and wireless communications. The development of communications technology is critical in today’s IT environment, with increasing data volumes, IoT devices, and people using the internet.

Manufacturing

Investment in technology means doing it right when no one is looking

The first rule of any technology used in a business is that automation applied to an efficient operation will surely magnify efficiency. The second is that automation applied to an inefficient operation will magnify the inefficiency.

Great businesses will have a stout lean vision in place with the Executive Management Vision and are working day-to-day at getting on with doing a small number of significant things unswervingly day in, day out, week after week, month after month, year after year, as part of the middle management action plans. And finally, the results must be visible at the Shop floor level.  That is what makes for effective tech-savvy leadership within manufacturing companies.

KTO Digital is fully aware that if we decrease batch sizes by half, we also lessen by half the time it will take to process a batch. That means we reduce queue and wait by half as well. Reduce those by half, and we reduce by about half the total time parts spend in the plant. Decrease the time parts spend in the plant and our total lead time condenses. Then with quicker turn-around on orders, customers get their orders faster. This is the beauty of what we do for clients in the manufacturing industry.

Retail

Technology is nothing. What’s important is that you have a faith in people, that they’re good and smart, and if you give them tools, they’ll do wonderful things with them – Steve Jobs

The key to this is more than just having systems in place to knob both online and in-store purchases, but an amalgamated system that integrates with other technologies that the business uses. Mixing online and offline transactions, inventory, and promotions across all in-person locations and online stores are some of the greatest difficulties that software developers seek to overcome with developing PoS systems for retail industries.

Healthcare/ Pharmaceutical

It is not the toughest of the species that survives, nor the most gifted, but the one most receptive to change

Health information technology presents plentiful opportunities for refining and transforming healthcare which include; reducing human errors, improving clinical outcomes, enabling care coordination, improving practice efficiencies, and tracking data over time.

KTO Digital’s ability to store, share and analyze health information is directly tied to improved technology. We believe that the use of technology increases provider capabilities and patient access while improving the quality of life for some patients and saving the lives of others.

Benefits of Technology in the Health Care

Improved Care Coordination

Improving coordination has been a concentration of healthcare for some time, being a cornerstone of most health institutions across the world. Despite receiving increased attention, care coordination, particularly during transitions of care, continues to challenge organizations, leading to subnormal care quality and safety.

KTO Digital has launched an assortment of solutions in response to the growing demand for assistance with care transitions. Some of these technologies are standalone systems and apps developed specifically to aid in the transition of care while others are packaged in with other offerings to assist in addressing broader issues, such as communication, education, and medication adherence.

Improved Population Health Management

Population health is a relatively new concept and can be defined as “the health outcome of a group of individuals, including the distribution of such outcomes with the group.”  Fresh inventions in technology help collect and analyze large amounts of patient data to drive improvements in population health initiatives.

Improved Patient Education

For as long as we can remember, patient education relied largely on written materials about disease processes, medical management, medication, and self-care instruction guidelines. Today, the Internet and mobile technology have made health information obtainable to patients anywhere.

Furthermore, our improved functionality in existing technologies has been the greatest treasure, such as patient portals, which can present customized health education information to patients based on their specific needs and conditions.
